Ashtanga, which means “eight limbs” in Sanskit, is a fast-paced, intense style of yoga. It is a set sequences usually in the same order. Synchronising the breath with the progressive series of postures, producing an intense internal heat as well as a profuse and purifying sweat that helps with detoxification of the muscles and organs of the body.
This style of yoga is powerful, as it is a flow of intense yoga movements, beautiful graceful and elegant in its poses. Usually recommended for the more advanced yogi or those who fancy challenging themselves.
Physical benefits of Ashtanga include developing strength and flexibility, toning muscles and lubricating joints whilst massaging the internal organs, releasing chronic tension, improving circulation, whilst also promoting self-awareness and mental clarity.
A completly energising and refreshing experience.
